My heart is over flowing with love; for God, my handsome boyfriend Jordan, my family, my friends, and you! Good music is great; and sometimes I even like to pretend I'm the slightest bit musically inclined. Even though they may not turn out well, I attempt to photograph the people and things in my life. Regardless of the aesthetic quality, the memories they capture are priceless. Carefree sunny days are my favorite, and unfortunately rare as of late. I have no clue what I want to do the rest of my life, but until I figure it out I'm just going to do my best to enjoy the beauty of this world.

Bon Iver wanted to show me that it is okay to cry when you are sad. He squeezed his eyes shut and his face was marked by sorrow. Moments later, his eyes were wet. He shuddered. ‘Bon Iver,’ I said, and placed a hand on his bare chest to calm him, ‘what made you so suddenly sad?’
He choked and wiped his eyes. ‘Deforestation,’ he whispered.

This morning we sat on the front porch in a rocking chair, I on his lap, wrapped up in a blanket he’d knitted from wool he spun from the neighbor’s sheep. We watched the sun rise and he said, ‘I wonder if the sun knows how lucky he is to shine on your beautiful face every day’. A single tear marked his cheek.

Bon Iver just woke me up to tell me about his dream. He dreamed our children were running through an olive grove, a blonde boy and twin girls. Then he held me and whispered, ‘Let’s make a family’.

Bon Iver must have known I would wear his workshirts to bed while he was away. He left me gifts in the breast pocket of each - a tiny shell, a dried flower, a pinecone.

Bon Iver heard me cough from the other room. I heard the door slam, and moments later he returned: with armfuls of lemongrass, humanely terminated free-range chickens and fresh greens, and he whipped up a soup to cure me. As he spooned it into my mouth, he kissed my throat and whispered, ‘That was a close one, baby.’
